On behalf of the POCT Section of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL), the Heinz-Nixdorf-Chair of the TUM and the Institute for Clinical Chemistry and Pathobiochemistry (Klinikum rechts der Isar der Technischen Universität München), we cordially invite you to the
5th Munich Point-of-Care Testing Symposium (POCT)
September 27–29, 2022
POCT – New Horizons for Cross-Sectional Technologies
and Extended Application Areas
In the context of the conference motto, we want to discuss the technological and clinical progress of near-patient laboratory diagnostics in hospitals as well as in ambulatories, private practices and also in the homecare sector.
The general rule for POCT is that the underlying technologies and range of test parameters available are evolving at a very rapid pace. Cross-sectional technologies, such as microfluidics, transducers for sensors, imagers, alternative recognition elements for assays, joining and assembly technologies, as well as innovative materials, are amongst others a plethora of ingredients for highly creative integrated systems covering solutions from sample application to waste management. On the other hand, the areas of clinical application are becoming more diverse, but this again presents device developers with new challenges! Therefore, we expect a lively scientific exchange on analytical and technological basics, POCT-relevant IT topics, clinical-diagnostic applications as well as organizational and quality assurance aspects of patient-oriented laboratory diagnostics.
Despite the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are looking forward confidently for 2022 and plan to offer you the proven presence format with all its advantages at the venue site Klinikum rechts der Isar Munich. Therefore, you can already expect national and international speakers, state-of-the-art topics from science and practice as well as a multifaceted industrial exhibition.
Do you finally want to further your education, exchange ideas and network in person again? Then come to the POCT Symposium 2022 in Munich: we are looking forward to seeing you!
